What are my choices?
There are options for you to consider if you have had or are about to have one or both testicles removed during surgery. Before making any decision, you should speak with your physician about your long-term expectations, your concerns and potential risk or complications for
each available option.
- No treatment
Leaves a partially empty or completely empty scrotum.
- Subcapsular orchiectomy
Removes the testicle tissue from the capsule, leaving a smaller scrotal structure.
- Torosa® testicular prosthesis
A soft saline filled prosthesis used for cosmetic purposes only to mimic the look and feel of the natural testicle. This product can be used in both adults and children.
