As far as the feeling with the Titan Penile Implant, it’s exactly the same. I find no difference from when I was a younger man to now in the feeling. The sensitivity is still there; your ability to ejaculate is still the same. It's a win situation all around as far as I'm concerned; I would do it tomorrow morning. „
“How has having the inflatable penile prosthesis impacted my life? In a word, confidence. I’m able to walk into the room now and be that guy that I always wanted to be, just confident and self-assured and knowing what I want. That has made all the difference for me.”
“The Coloplast Titan changed my life for the better and I didn't have any other choice. That was what was going to work for me and my body and when I decided to go with it, I didn't look back.”
“The most surprising thing to me would be that patients do not know that the Titan or the implant exists, so therefore they are really surprised that it exists and they are willing to proceed on with it once they find out about it.”

We were told before the first implant that we should expect him to require a replacement at some point due to his young age and the fact that in those days the average life span of an implant was 7 to 10 years. Because of that we weren’t surprised when after 7 years his stopped working. He didn’t hesitate to have that one removed and a newer model put in, by that time they’d been improved to the point of having a lifetime guarantee. We understand the companies have continued to make slight improvements so the latest models have even better track records than the one he has which is well over 10 years old.
One of the things we’ve learned over the years of talking with different doctors and patients is how important it is to find the right urologist since only a small percentage of them actually specialize in doing implants. So just like any type of surgery you want to find a doctor with a track record of multiple successful implants. Your family doctor may or may not know of a urologist near you who is qualified but Coloplast should be able to recommend someone near you.
Ron and I have been married a long time; we have three grown sons, four grandchildren, and enjoy travelling. In our early 40′s after years of a mutually satisfying intimate sexual relationship, Ron began having occasional problems achieving a good erection. Around the same time he was also having some other physical problems which led to surgery. We were encouraged to give it time for all normal functions to return to normal. Most did, but one symptom didn’t; it got worse. That was the ability for Ron to achieve and maintain an erection. A short time later when it started to affect the intimacy in our marriage, we began the journey to find an answer. This, of course, was prior to any TV ads for ED and after nine doctors and at least one referral to a psychiatrist, we finally saw an urologist who specialized in impotence. What a relief. The real key for us was proper diagnosis. Once we understood what we were dealing with and the treatment options available, our only question was, “how quickly can we get it fixed?” Ultimately, we decided on a penile implant. An implant isn’t for everyone, but it helped us return to full sexual function and healthy sexual intimacy.
